North Fork road washout

Above photo: new waterfall far up the hill from the now buried road.

Our last big flooding storm that went through probably wiped out at least 300 yards of road on the North Fork (logging and hiking access mostly). These photos really don't capture how impressive it is.

This photo is taken from where the road roughly was looking at the wash all the way down to the river.

All that is left of what was probably a very powerful water system now down more to creek size.

Nice sandy sediment (notice the pretty second growth in the background). I didn't take a photo of it; but part of where the river undercut the road actually exposed very old original road built on old growth timber.
