First Snow Hike of the Season

It is painfully cold today, but I still wanted a break for a first snow hike of the season.

I swear I am actually more scheduled right now unemployed than when I was working from home. It helps me cope with the unknown a bit better I think.

You can see it is actually pretty dark out still. There will definitely be more rain or snow later in the day. But for this hike it was a dry, cold snow.

Over 2/3 of the hike was completely untouched snow which was beautiful.

Have a great day!

  2. I'm still waiting for Millie to be able to enjoy some deep snow. The weather people are claiming we will have snow to shovel in the next few days. Keeping my fingers crossed. I prefer snow to rain.

I like hikes in snow as long as it isn't too deep to walk in.

    1. I hear you on the snow to rain...especially if I don't need to drive anywhere. It was a nice dry snow today too; which is not what we get out here, we tend to be a wet heavy snow.

I actually was slipping a lot today! But yes, when it get really deep the progress is SO slow.

I hope you guys get your snow!

  3. How pretty!! I wish it would either be warm or cold here. Our weather can't make up its mind so it isn't helping my coughing any! :(

    1. I do like seeing the snow in the mountains when I drive. You will be on this coast someday. :)
