Take one: Doberman in Stroller

So with Nim on extended bed rest I talked to a friend of mine who had modified a kid's stroller/bike trailer for her border collie.

Due to lack of sleep I have apparently lost all sense of shame.

We tried it out in the kitchen.

His body is a little long for it. But if he can relax a bit in it, this just might work. I would prefer to have the front open, but I will have to tether him to keep him from jumping out.

Homework and an exam took my day today, so I couldn't deal with its maiden voyage, but maybe I will be brave in the next few days.

(Leela: "You aren't putting me in that thing.")

  1. There is no shame in doing what you can to get Nim out. Hopefully he will enjoy the scenery from his chariot and you can at least get out for a walk. He does look cute in there.

    1. He was pretty darn cute. It would be nice if it stops raining! My biggest concerns is that he either jumps out and hurts himself or he is too crammed in there and makes the shoulder worse. But I think I can still be brave.:)

  2. I think Nim will enjoy it as long as he isn't freaked out by it. He does look darn cute in it! I almost thought of buying one of those for my bike, but add that to my lack of excercise, I thought I'd never use it.

I'm sure Leela and Emile will be checking it out if you leave it open. Cats have to get into everything!

    1. He was a little freaked when I was moving it around. I am not sure if he would relax more with continuous motion or not.

My friend didn't have good results with the bike. I am sure it varies from dog to dog, but I think for some dogs, being in the back is just not normally or comfortable for them, and I could see that.

I totally busted Emile sleeping in it. :)

  3. Aww...poor Nim. I hope his shoulder gets better soon. I agree, he's cute in the stroller..but I know it should be a temporary thing!

  6. Aww, he looks SO ADORABLE poking out of that thing!

Hope you get some good weather for your sake as well as Nim's. I know I hate that stircrazy stuck-indoors feeling. And wish him a speedy recovery for me. And hi to the kitties too!

    1. Hi Jan -

We almost got some sun yesterday, just a touch. But today is super cold and very foggy actually.

Thank you for your wishes and hellos! We all need him to have a speedy recovery. :)
