After I vacuumed the house and made an attempt at clipping Holly's nails she needed a solid nap. I would say neither are her favorite.
While she slept I finished the binding of the 2014 New Year's Day Mystery Quilt! I am so glad to have this project finally done.
I really like how it came out too. I would have got better photos outside, but there was only seconds in-between the downpour today.
It looks very fall-like when rolled up.
Holly sits OK on command...sort of, but doesn't seem so sure about the stay command or the camera. I actually hold it low on my body to take the photo because she seems more likely to break when I hold it front of my face.
Somehow I managed to get a photo with Nim's eyes shut.Considering a flash wasn't even involved I have no idea what he was doing.
The quilt turned out great! I think Nim is thinking, "Maybe if I close my eyes Holly will be gone when I open them." LOL Or he was just anticipating a flash.

He would click his heels if he could... :) Although she is good dog watching for him.
DeleteThat is too funny! Its like he's showing what he thinks of the whole situation!
ReplyDeleteLove that quilt!
I liked how the quilt turned out too! It was a funny photo. He was probably inwardly groaning as he sat there forever waiting for her. :)
DeleteLove the quilt and the fact you caught your dog meditating! Or that's what I"m telling myself 'cause I could use a canine role model.
ReplyDeleteYou know. That might be the best assessment yet. :) That would be about the length of Nim's meditation window (and mine). That was funny.
DeleteThis quilt came out nice. I never tire of a good use of red in a quilt. Sam
The quilt is beautiful, and yes it is much like fall...which I cannot wait for!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great picture of them. Holly really is cute, and I think Nim is thinking, what is she doing and why is she not taking the picture already.
Meanwhile I am excited about summer! Holly is really cute. Her only negative is the cat issue.
DeleteDid you say if they met face to face? Wonder if she's just curious as to what it is.
DeleteWell, she has a rabbit killing history. I was working a bit on monitored introductions but she did get the orange cat in the back (only fur) and at that point I was done. Not worth killing a cat. I would say she doesn't know what they are, but her hunting drive is more than willing to take care of it.
DeleteOh boy, definitely no kitties for Holly! The wonderful Lab in her.
