Saturday Holly Update

Emile is currently resting up after his morning of giving Holly the eye. He has already decided how these next three weeks are not going to go.

I had to move her food dish this morning because she figured out he was up in the rafters staring at him while she was trying to eat. Then she tried to avoid that section of wall entirely which doesn't work really well in my tiny house.

Shortly after this photo there may have been some cat chasing. Emile is calling a draw while he rests up.

Meanwhile Holly is making herself quite at home. She is constantly right in the way on the slate. I love it. It reminds me of Sherman.

She came with her own wooden box and today she has decided she likes the location of it. Nim has tried to fit in it a couple of times but he can't quite pull it off.

Leela was on the move around the house in the middle of the night, but so far has not shown as much bravery during the day.

Holly is not good for my senior rescue tendencies. I thought her staying with me would remind me of the complexities of a second and senior dog, but unfortunately she is settling in too nicely. Nim and her are pretty cute when the go out together in the morning. He doesn't entirely get her, but he always figures she is excited about something that he better not miss out on. :)

  1. Aww, she loves the slate floor, it's probably cool with her fur. I love her bed too. That's pretty funny Nim trying to lay in it. I'm sure you'll find him in there one day with Nim pieces hanging over.
Sounds like you might be in for another addition soon?
    Enjoy your weekend!!

    1. Nope, short of an emergency, no more pets for quite awhile. I just don't have the house for it and my job right now makes it hard for me to give the attention and training I want to.

I like her bed a lot! It is quite a nice set-up. Because the wood won't "give" Nim isn't impressed.

  2. What a cool sleeping box she has. Maybe by the time she leaves one of the cats will curl up in there with her. I don't think I've ever seen the slate in your house. That must be a nice cool spot to lay.

    1. I think the slate is one of my favorite parts of the house. Talk about one of the smartest floorings ever. Even hides dirt.

I am not sure Emile wants to snuggle with her, but he would like her to stop chasing. :)
