Part Two

I just finished Gone Girl. The first part of the book you are reading along, not much liking any of the characters and not entirely sure even how sucked into the book you are and then you hit "Part Two."

Wow. As the story started rapidly unfolding from "Part Two" on, I actually found myself laughing at just how messed up it was. If you haven't read a good villain story in awhile, look no further.

A couple of my least favorite female-directed swear words are used fairly regular towards primarily the main female but other than that, I was completely stunned by the turns in the story.

We finally had a break in the rain. It is cold as anything, but at least it isn't raining. Our snow line is pretty low now.

Nim and I took the afternoon to get out and just "be." Too much on my mind right now. I am lucky to have him with me.

Have a great evening!

  1. I'm glad you have Nim to take you on a hike and "just be". He looks so cute sleeping with your book. I can just imagine lying there reading with him next to you.

    1. Thanks Cindy. I am really grateful for Nim too. It would be even more difficult to be going through stuff right now without him.

  2. I love how you say you are lucky to have Nim with you and I feel the same about mine too.

Still not cold (or even cool) here. Blow some over here will ya!

    1. Thanks! I am beyond lucky. He is getting me through a tough stage in life. It reminds me not to take him for granted either. I can get rushed and try and push him into my needs and schedule, and that rarely is the best results.

      Meanwhile...it is snowing. :)

    3. Depending on the season we have you may regret asking for snow photos. :)

    1. The first part of the book I was borderline annoyed, then about part 2 on it I was totally stunned by the direction it took and was hooked!

I love my mountains...not too much when it is rainy, but they are a great backdrop.

  4. I asked for Gone Girl for Christmas, so I'm hoping to see it when I pull off some wrapping this year! And I love that Nim "reads" with you!

I know, poor Nim...of only the cats would let me put books on them. :)
